This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking file. Please use the responsible public office for those matters.
Official Records Contacts
Colorado County does not publish a public roster, so the correct agency depends on the information sought. The Jail Division is the official starting contact for a current county-custody question. The sheriff’s written procedure, not a phone call, is the route for a historical booking record or a request for a releasable photograph.
The published sheriff procedure accepts a specific written request by email, mail, or in person. It lists a $6 base fee, a 10-working-day fulfillment-or-notice window, and a requirement that the request identify the information with enough detail for the office to find it.
- For a county-held booking record or photo request, start with the Colorado County record path.
- For a Columbus, Eagle Lake, or Weimar incident or arrest report, contact the city police department that handled the event.
- For a court case or disposition, use the County Clerk, District Clerk, or appropriate municipal court.
- For a state-custody record, use the TDCJ offender search; it is not a local jail roster and TDCJ does not provide public inmate photographs.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the appropriate BOP or ICE locator rather than the sheriff’s county booking route.
For an emergency, call 911. A warrant question should be confirmed with the issuing court, sheriff, or police agency. Colorado County Crime Stoppers is a reporting channel, not a custody lookup.
